In April, 2015, David Longfield-Smith became the Organization Lead for Blue Zones Project® – Southwest Florida. In this role David helps individuals and organizations better understand the Project, and the many benefits of their participation in it. Specifically, David helps grocery stores and restaurants to achieve their chosen health and wellness improvement initiatives, earn recognition, and to collaborate with others in the community.

David has considerable experience in team building, coaching, and public speaking. He is an Air Force veteran who has worked in sales and marketing positions with world-class companies such as Anheuser-Busch, Bose Corporation, and Costco Wholesale. David’s work has taken him to 8 countries and 38 states within the U.S. In 1999 David and his wife Madeleine made Southwest Florida their home, and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. 

David enjoys serving others, and he has worked with numerous non-profit organizations in Southwest Florida. He was a founding Board Member of Collier County Honor Flight, a charity that flies veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifice. David is also serving his fifth term as president of his homeowner’s association.
