Blue Zones Project Approved™
Restaurants
Restaurant meals can weigh us down or lift us up. The typical entrée in an American restaurant weighs in at 1,000 calories. For the average adult, eating one meal away from home per week translates to gaining about two additional pounds a year. The Blue Zones Project Approved restaurants below have demonstrated a commitment to offering smarter choices to their customers.

RESTAURANT
Riverwalk at Tin City
Naples, FL, 34102
Overlooking the Gordon River, Riverwalk is part of Naples’ past. Tin City, the quaint shopping area in which we’re located, was built in the 1940’s as a working dock and the site of Doxsee’s Clam Factory. Today, planked floors, maritime artifacts, and handrails and doors carved by artist Clint Beatty echo this rich history. Riverwalk at Tin City fulfilled the Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant criteria by offering healthier menu options, optimizing menus to highlight healthy choices, and making changes to the dining environment. The restaurant added four vegetarian entrees to the adult menu and one to the children’s menu. It also offers smaller portions at reduced prices of some of its most popular dishes. Servers mention the healthy sides first, and diners can choose grilled, blackened, or fried fish. Riverwalk

RESTAURANT
Survey Cafe
Bonita Springs, FL, 34119
Survey Cafe adapted its name from the historic name of Bonita Springs. It was so named because a group of surveyors made camp here in the 1870s, and of the few things they left behind, the name "Survey" stuck. Step inside and you realize that everything is a whole lot easier to love with that island feel Survey Cafe provides. Time slows down, cats wander in search of a dropped piece of salmon, couples young and old bring dogs big and small to sip coffee, pick at muffins, and forget about anything other than the current moment. Just another sunny Florida morning at the Survey Cafe.
