As a native South Carolinian, Jessica arrived in Naples a little over two years ago. Prior to Naples, Jessica and her husband spent ten wonderful years on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Jessica graduated from the College of Charleston with a BS in Psychology and Sociology. Before attending graduate school, Jessica had a myriad of interesting career experiences including therapist, travel agent, animal caregiver, and boat captain.  In addition, Jessica has over ten years marketing experience from small businesses to corporate giants.
Jessica has always been passionate about conservation, and in 2007 began her Master’s in Environmental Science through the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2012, she went on to Vermont Law School to obtain a Master’s in Environmental Law and Policy. It was here she discovered her vehemence for policy.
Upon moving to Naples, she worked at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida as a Conservation Associate doing policy work.
A fan of Dan Buettner’s work in National Geographic and his Blue Zones book, Jessica was thrilled when a policy position opened up locally. Although no longer working in the environmental realm, Jessica understands the interconnectedness of systems and how shaping food, tobacco, and built environment policies can ultimately aid environmental efforts.
