Eric  joined the Blue Zones Project after working for two metropolitan planning organizations in Maine and Florida. With a lifestyle comparable to Blue Zones Project principles, the decision to join the  team was an easy one. Community, purpose and helping others have always been very important to Eric. After moving to Florida, Eric found a new community in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma when he and several others spent the days following the hurricane assisting others.

Eric was a passionate long-distance runner who volunteered for a decade helping the Maine Track Club and the running community; and an animal lover who spent time volunteering at an animal shelter. Most of his free time is now spent cycling, playing pickleball, and games with his wife.

Eric has a Master’s Degree in community planning and development and a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry. He and his wife have lived in Florida since 2015 and two of their three children still live in Maine with the third graduating from USC.
