NAPLES, FL, 34113
Since 1984, Literacy Volunteers of Collier County (LVCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, has been offering tutoring to adults and families who want to improve their English in the areas of reading, writing, and/or speaking. Lessons for adults are centered on the individual needs and goals of each student. In our family programs, pre-school children and their parents learn the joy and value of reading together while they improve their English literacy skills. Literacy Volunteers of Collier County (“LVCC”) decided to become a Blue Zones approved worksite to carve a path for a wellness initiative for those that may not otherwise be exposed. We wanted our staff, members, volunteers and students to be aware that even small steps toward a healthy goal can make a significant difference in their lives. This fundamental principle and philosophy falls in line with our adult and children’s literacy programs.
